8.1.4 Suite Install

Good evening...well at least here in Edmonton it's evening.

I downloaded the program only DMG (Mac OS X) to install 8.1.4. The page said to download the smaller one if I already have 8.1.3 installed. Does 8.1.4 use the library in the 8.1.3 install? Do I have to leave both versions installed?

Hi,

Live 8.1.4 will use the same library folder as 8.1.3 did.
This folder is not in the 8.1.3 program folder, though.
You can find it's location when you open Live and goto preferences->library.
There is the library location. That is the path to the library folder on your hard disk.
As the folder is not inside the Live 8.1.3 program folder, it is save to uninstall Live 8.1.3.

OK, thank you for your help.

Before I uninstall 8.1.3 could I trouble you with one more question? I checked the size of the 8.1.3 folder and the 8.1.4 folder. The 8.1.3 folder (~1.5 GB) is roughly three times the size of the 8.1.4 folder (~500 MB). Do you know why the difference in size? I just want to make sure I understand what I might lose when I toss the Live 8.1.3 Mac OS X folder.
