Hi everyone,
So I recently purchased ableton live(not suite) and Im having problem creating drum racks. I have the M-audio axiom MIDI keyboard. It comes with 8 drum pads and im trying to make a custom drum rack with these pads. However when I try to drag more than one drum effect into the rack view it says "This set contains features that are limited or unavailable in live 8." I am trying to take drum effects from "drum rack" > snare> carbon and then trying to put in "Kick" > Kick carbon and its not letting more than 1 on it. So I payed $500 for this program but does this mean I have to uprade if I want to make customized drum racks? Please Help because making beats is the main reason I bought this program
Thanks

It sounds like you are hitting a limitation of a version which maybe came with your keyboard or something?

Hello Chiliconcarnag,
Which Live version exactly do you use?
Best,
Christian

Was just going to post the very same problem. Tells me I have to purchase Operator to do that. Customer support said it's an 8.1.3 bug, but it's still does it after updating. New with computers in general. Any help would be awesome.

Send an email to
[email protected] with the error message, and attach your set to the email. I had the same problem, and they got back to me within 24 hours with an attached set that was fixed. I don't know if it is bug in the program or what, but they fixed it for me. I just had to go back and assign the midi instruments again, which they listed for me in the email.

Exactly. Please note that this won´t happen with sets created with 8.1.4 - please update to 8.1.4
