Just got that last night and it's pretty good. My only problem is sometimes when you are tapping it's too easy to do a swipe by accident and that causes the game's speed to go way up or down.sparklepuff wrote:Osmos

Only in the app store could a game maker get rich selling crashing apps with retro gameplay and no scoring system. The developers obviously skipped a rigorous program of thorough, broad-based beta testing, or else they would have found the award button bug before using early adopters as a de facto beta testers at their own expense. This negative review is what they get for incomplete engineering of an app that will be monetized far in excess of its current merit. Please mark this helpful if your copy of Osmos also crashes. Apps ought to be judged by an absolute standard of functionality - especially at this price point - not one by which the customers accustomed to itune's rushed software products typically cut lazy devs so much slack in excusing their product's failures.
Bug summary:
-trophy button causes app to exit.
-"arcade" levels remain padlocked upon completion.
-disabling "anonymous stat upload" via unchecking does not work. The box is still checked after returning to the settings menu.

One of the more eloquent bug report complaints I've seen about an app. I will admit that this is the one and only app I have had crash on me. But I really don't have much expectations on the first rev of an app given my Apple fanboyism coupled with low price point. If something crashes repeatedly I stop playing and wait for the next update while I move on to the 140,000+ other options. But it is kind of a disturbing trend considering how the iProduct line is a extremely closed platform. There shouldn't be any crashes or bugs.
And just like the NI Service Center iTunes automatically checks for updates on all your apps when you boot it up. Download them all and sync your device. They couldn't make it much easier.
I don't have iTunes at work but one of my favorite list of bad reviews is one of the top selling brain teaser apps and every review on the first page is one star from people who are color blind and because of that they aren't able to play the game because they can't distinguish the colors used.

Here's another awesome misuse of the one star rated review
That's right up there with my favorite one star reviewers on tangible products who tick off the one star just because UPS lost it or broke it.
There really needs to be some kind of pre-rating questionnaire that determines the person's sense of self important and if their drivel will have anything of importance to say about the actual product whatsoever.
Oh please PLEASE reconsider!!!!!Been waiting for this since they came out with the lite version, which was very fun.
Giving them a crap rating though because their website still doesn't acknowledge that this game even exists. If they want to step up to their level of professionalism a bit, I'll reconsider giving it a more fair rating

...or, you could heed his one star warning, not download the app, save yourself .79 and a little piece of your life.

I really like that game, u know u can zoom out right?beats me wrote:Also I got the tower defense game with the aliens and the sheep but I'm not really a fan. The graphics are too large and primitive for the screen real estate and resolution. It moves too fast and there's too many weapon choices. It's essentially the strategy equivalent of button mashing fighting games: go for it and hope for the best.
With experience on the harder levels u will find your choice of weapons are critical.

Re: My New iPad: Daily Reports!

Re: My New iPad: Daily Reports!
If you travel the 3G is a total win especially as it is unlocked
The gps is great too.
