unless you actually live in NL and heard that from a large quantity of objective people I'd say you're just having some free time to kill with some fun imagery..
Because the consensus I get is that we didn't deserve to win..

fact: the 1st half had nothing to do with football and is a disgrace to the Dutch..
fact: we were lucky enough to even have 11 players on the field that 1st half..
fact: Puyol should have been sent off as well..
fact: it was a Spanish offside just before Iniesta scored..
fact: we should've had a corner in those last 5 minutes..
guess: who knows how the game would've progressed if we had that corner..?

Spain deserved to win..

1 Truth: the 1st half had nothing to do with football and is a disgrace to the Dutch..
2 Truth: we were lucky enough to even have 11 players on the field that 1st half..
3 Meh: Puyol should have been sent off as well..
4 PATENTLY FALSE: it was a Spanish offside just before Iniesta scored..
5 Meh: we should've had a corner in those last 5 minutes..
6 Meh: who knows how the game would've progressed if we had that corner..?

Spain deserved to win..
time to kill ? .. Eh, I know the rules of football and like many others I watched the whole tournament - the dutch, cynically & brutally, fouled their way through the whole thing and totally ruined the flow in the final because of it. I don't understand why I or anyone else needs to be a dutch resident to have a greater understanding of what I saw on the pitch ?

Points 1 & 2 over-ride all others. and the spanish were not off-side, that has been proven beyond doubt. In fact it was proven within seconds on the feed I watched, not sure about the feed dutch people were watching.

I honestly don't know who was more of a disgrace to the sport... France or Holland.

Those two quotes are supposed to be at odds...right ?
but I'm not seeing it.

There's dutch supporters complaining about the ref in this very thread, to which I replied.
There's dutch friends of mine complaining about the ref also
And, for all you kooky kids who read a newspaper from time to time, there's a fucking plethora of dutch indignation to consume

So, do I still need to be a dutch resident to comment on dutch supporters complaining about the ref ?

I noted today that Robben was complaining about the ref, which does seem a bit rich.

Did I mention he should have scored, twice?

My personal fav was the one he missed after Puyol's tackle. Robben survives the tackle, takes the advantage, goes for goal, FAILS, and THEN starts looking for a free-kick for Puyol's tackle.

Priceless.

:D

In fact, I might just hold that thought long enough to crack one off.

so you found a handfull of Dutch fuckwits who claim the ref stole our cup.. how hard could that have been?
what I'm saying is that if you follow the objective press over here the consensus is Spain deserved to win..

re: Spanish offside.. I take that back.. the pub was too crowded and people were all jumping to have a precise look at it..
just saw a youtube where both those situations with Iniesta were indeed all clear..

heh, oh I get it... you're butthurt ? Just rub some aloe vera on it.

Cos I mean, I didn't say the entire nation of holland was complaining did I ?
And I did say I was only laughing at those complaining, right ?
And there were two dutch complainers posting previously to me, ya ?
And the international press is littered with dutch commentary slamming the ref right now too ?

Oh ok... ya, I guess I should clarify, because I obviously wasn't clear enough to begin with:

Lots of room for misinterpretation there

I'm ecstatic Holland lost. I live in the centre of Amsterdam and I'm so totally sick of seeing all these orange flags shirts wigs dog collars WHATVER I hate all that nationalist crap! If Holland had won it would have been days of celebrating flag waving screaming urinating vomiting in the street. No thank you.
SPAIN FTW!!!!!

I forgot to comment on this beaut!
lol

Most pubs I hang out in people actually talk to each other, and ya, quite often when watching football if you miss something it's quite easy to ask someone what happened - if you're not told before you get the chance to ask.

How you managed to still think it was offside up until today and even offered your misinformation as a 'FACT' is testament to how hollow your words are on this topic.

=)
