a am a new live user
I installed live 4.0.1 an a pc.
i am using a terratec ews88mt and controlling an electribe ea1.
I send messages with notes to both channel 1 and 2 and it works, but i have problem with program changing.
What is bank, sub bank and program referred to?
Do i have to send the program change on ch1, ch2 or both?
For example i tried to go to the program a38 an the ea1, with this settings on the clip played on ch1:
bank: 1
sub.bank: none
program: 38
but it goes to the c38!! WHY!!??
When i program change my virus-a, it properly works, the bank is correct and the program too.
help me please!!

The electribes have the most f*cked up MIDI implementation I have seen.
To change a program in bank A, your bank select needs to be 0 and your program is 0-63. Bank B has a 0 for bank select and program is 64-127. Bank C has a 1 for bank select and program is 0-63. Finally, Bank D has a 1 for bank select and program is 64-127.
To control any of the parameters represented by the knobs, you have to use NRPN MSB, LSB + Data
