Hi.
I have question to all who use mpd 24 with Ableton live.
So i want use my mpd 24 with ableton, but mpd transport buttons (play/rec/stop) don't work with Ableton. I contacted ableton technical support and they told me that i need update my mpd firmware, but i canno't find where i can download that update. It must be in akaipro web page, but there only can download manuals & documentation and factory presets. I also was trying to contact akai pro, but they don't answer on my two e-mails 3 weeks.
Maybe someone on here lately has been updating mpd and knows where i can download that firmware?

Hmmm. On this page http://www.akaipro.com/content5420 it says "Owners can update their MPD24 firmware by selecting the Docs & Downloads section of the MPD24 product page on the company’s website, www.AkaiPro.com. Users may download the 44 kb zip file at no charge. The firmware is installed to MPD24 via a USB-connected Mac running OS X or later, or a PC running Windows XP or later."
When you look in Documents and Downloads there is no 44kb zip file.
The best place for information on doing this is on the Vyzex website.

The Japanese Akai site seems to have an even newer version 1.10 for some reason but 1.09 is there too.
I'm also assuming you do the update from within Vyzex which IS available in the AKAI website.
I have NOT had to update an AKAI firmware before so I'm not sure about any of this. My AKAI MPK49 already have the newest firmware on it.

I downloaded firmware from that Japanese akai site, but still cannot update it - i am doing all by manual and my mpd lcd screen all the time is showing 00 receiving. I wait longer than one hour and then just unplug it, so now it is without any firmware. Probably will ask about this problem on Vyzex website.
