Laptops with UXGA+ crazy resolution

Post by timothyallan » Fri Apr 29, 2005 2:25 am

I'm looking at getting a Dell Inspiron 9300 with the 17" 1900x1600 (or thereabouts) resolution. Is anyone using one of these with that crazy ass resolution currently in a studio/live setup?

It has that really glassy screen on it like some Toshibas, and im wondering about glare, as well as how the interface for live looks on it.

Anybody got one? or something similar?

Cheers,
Tim

I have a Dell Inspiron 8600.. I think it's more than a year now, but it still kicks ass.

The monitor is a 15,4 WUXGA (i think, its somethingXGA anyway :)) @ 1680x1050.. Razor sharp image, and a joy to work with.. The widescreen-thing is excellent when working with live aswell.

Probably the best screen I've ever worked with, actually.
