I'm curious... I've been wanting to remove a lot of the stock content for a while, and reorganise the stuff that I do want.
Is this now perfectly safe to do, now we can download just the program (with no content)?
I don't want to do it, and then it all blow in my face... Anyone else done this?
Can I remove stock content now we have a program only DL?

I'm curious about this too. I want to install my second copy of Live 8.1.4 on my ultra-portable notebook(Win7-64, 4GB, Celeron). As it turns out I've almost never used any of the Suite instruments so will this install yeild a leaner and meaner version of Live 8?

Yes I've done this on a new snow leopard installation on my laptop, since I never use presets or any of the audio content, and the program only version installs fine.
Some minor content is still installed ( my guess is the presets and loops that are just new or updated for 8.1.4 ).
Everything has been working great ... I've got live suite.
