Why do some samples play & audition at double speed?

I was wondering why Live auditions and plays backs some
of my audio files (loops) at twice the speed. I checked the file format as well to see if they were all 44 instead of 48 to see if that was a factor?
What could this be?

this is live just guessing incorrectly at the tempo of the clip. if you get really fast or really slow loops this tends to happen. 180bpm isn't as common as 90, so live guesses 90. just hit the little 'half origional tempo' button in the warp section of the clip parameter view and that should take care of it. if you save the clip after that, i don't think you'll have that problem again with that clip.
