Post by dysanfel » Sat Jul 17, 2010 3:30 am

Drag and drop a MIDI beat file from Addictive Drums GUI to Live crashes to desktop. We have seen this bug before....

EDIT: Does not occur in 8.1.3
Gig Rig - rMBP 2.3GHZ i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, OSX 10.13.x, Presonus FS, Live 10.x
Home Rig - i9 eight-core Hackintosh 32GB DDR4, 2nd Generation Scarlett 18i20, ADA8000, JoeMeek SixQ, Live 10.x

Could reproduce that crash with Addictive Drums here. Doesn't seem to be a general issue though, could successfully drag and drop MIDI files from another plug-in into Live 8.1.4.

But for AD, it always crashes when you reach the plug-in window border. And, indeed, it still works in Live 8.1.3.
We'll have a look.

@45thieves: could you please make "Addictive Drums MIDI Drop Crash" the topic of your mail?

1) Whenever the dialog box "Import Tempo and Time Signature Information" is present the "Do not Show Again" box does not work, the box always comes back - even when importing the same clip from the file browser consecutively.
2) Whenever the dialog box "Import Tempo and Time Signature Information" is shown after dropping MIDI into the Arrangement view from Addictive Drums any of the options "Yes", "No", or "Do not ask again" crashes Live 7.01 to desktop.

I am running a MBP 2.16 3GB Ram OSX 10.4.11 w/Apogee Duet soundcard. I even reinstalled OSX 10.4.11 fresh to be sure it was not me.
This new bug maybe related to this bug from 7.01. Just trying to help.

Same thing happening here. Just discovered this last night. 8.1.3 works fine. Sent in the crash logs. Does anyone know if the latest beta version fixes this? Quad core Mac Pro 10.5.8 Addictive Drums 1.5.

It's not in the latest beta, but we did some work here and a fix should probably come with the next update. A little bit more patience, s'il vous plait.

This issue is fixed with our latest Live 8.1.5 (http://www.ableton.com/de/latest_versions). Could you give it a try and confirm?

Torsten
