new track (pissed off with my self)

Post by IP » Sun Jul 18, 2010 6:30 am

Hello my great e-friends ;-p

well i always have something specific in mind when starting a track but always (ALWAYS) i end up with something completely different ...

anyway, your feedback is very important for me so if you have the time click click

and tell me your opinion :)

it is the final but not the full track (missing 2 min. from the end)

I like this. Definitely danceable, but a bit slow moving. Maybe try some added percussion and for bigger builds? I like the last drop the best. :D

I can relate to your struggles in the production process. I might start out doing something in a drum and bass style, then find a little loop that I end up using for a house piece. Tracks are always evolving into something that I didn''t expect. It might have something to do with my lack of/complete disregard for structure when going about putting a tune together.. Anyway, keep it up, work on the longer build cause you do have a rhythm.

agree about the "slow moving" ... i think ill do a faster remix

i dont know why but i start to hate the original lol ... so i dont know if i open the project again ;p

or i may try after some days ....
now it is fresh in my ears so i have to do something else to re-fill the battery

exactly, let it rest till you forget what it sounds like, then come back to it. By slow moving though, just to clarify, I meant there are parts that are kind of repetitive (not tempo wise), so you wanna keep it progressing to keep interest. You know what I mean? Build it up knock it down. I'm no pro myself, just making personal observations
