One could say hilaric but in fact really pathetic.

There's a billion dollar music industry out there running on the words "yo motherfucker".

I say words like "slur" and "political correctness" are just tools towards full allignment with a totalitarian internet regime.
What can I say? Our house, our rules.

If you don't like it, you're more than welcome to start an Ableton forum at 4chan or something.

We're not the Internet. We're a company that hopes to foster meaningful interaction between our customers.

Best,

Isn't it ironic that the Abes move the thread into the Lounge because people are arguing and making personal attacks and now they are fueling the fire by making responses to personal attacks?

:D

Glad you two worked it out, we can all move on with our lives now. Let's just do our level best to put this behind us.

It's Ableton's site not ours, so they can do what they want. They have rules and have allowed a fair number of us to breach them several hundred times before they came after us. This is no knee jerk reaction on their behalf, and in the past, Timur was banned for less on this forum.

Most other forums do not allow personal attacks, trolling and require serial codes or dongle code registration to be part of their forum and would have locked and deleted this thread over a dozen pages ago. Steinberg come straight to mind, I know of at least 7 bannings this year at cubase.net and they have locked or deleted HUNDREDS of threads. They don't even allow political or religious discussion, period. People who find that makes a dull forum go elsewhere.

Like Dennis said, there are OTHER Ableton Live forums on the web, or you can start one and apply your own rules if you don't like this one.

^^^ it is not about the rules or the respect towards them, it is about who and how they are represented,

i remember times where people where taking care of them having a face, character, soul and here and there an opinion, not some robot,

how much did Dennis ever actually really contributed? others like dom, [nis] or amaury, to name but a few all have helped or posted links, infos, tips etc. and got here and there involved into a discussion placing an opinion.

Dennis is a souless robot, "ableton is working on it... best, "

get out!, i don't care what he does at ableton, but leave us, the community alone... get someone in who actually has something to say or really helps people instead of "representing" the company without having a face or opinion on it's own.

that is my opinion and as i said i want stop calling him out whenever i can.

ableton and especially gerhard should be ashamed of them/himself letting someone like this represent a company like ableton on the net.

He has contributed Live packs, tutorial videos and hasn't exactly been an over zealous cop in the forum Axel, no more so than Dom or other people who have been involved with moderating on the forum.

We are damned lucky to have things such as e-mail support and interactions on the forum with real employees to address problems such as Amaury, Nico, Dom and Dennis. I think some long time live users forget what the situation is with most other software companies. Steinberg employ people not connected with the program to push the ZAP button and use baseless scripted standard responses.

We have seen less interaction in the past year or so from these moderators, hopefully because they have been busy working out bugs and developing the program ...

@ SubFunk bro... just off the top of my head I can remember him posting about strange counts... he pointed out a few songs by Soundgarden and others that were played in those counts etc. I can understand that you're not a fan of the guy, but don't you think you're being a little harsh?

For the record, the profanities started from the first page...within four responses in fact...

Also, I thought Timur was banned for systematically lying about Ableton ?

And isn't Dom the head of support ? Presumably, since live8, he has more important priorities than placating highly strung morons on the forum here ? Besides, Dom was doing hardly any forum participation up until the point of Dennis taking over

His responses on behalf of Ableton have been no less human than any Dom made. Employing pretty much the exact same 'official' tone & language.

Is there more to it than you are letting on Sub ? .. Maybe Dennis doesn't stroke your ego as Dom did ?

I think you're correct about Timur.

Well in that case I wouldn't say Timur was banned for less... far from it.
