problem recording audio

Post by benoit-1842 » Thu Jul 08, 2010 4:48 am

1. I have a loop playing in the arrangement view.
2. I record an audio through my audio-interface
3. I go in the preference to be able to record so I choose ASIO in the audio
4. I cannot hear my loop anymore, i'm just hearing my audio that i'm recording....

How can I hear both the recording audio and my loop ????

Thanx in advance.....

hi,

is the loop (which is playing) on the same track you want to record to?
If the monitor setting is 'auto' you won't hear the audio-in source (in your case most likely:)Ext In
if anything is playing on this channel. If you want to record something while listening to your loop you should
create another audio channel and use this.

Why are you switching driver's when you go from play to record??
Once you select your audio device and driver type make sure you enable any inputs and outputs in there respective menu's, then close the preferences. Select the outputs you would like to use on your master track, create a track for your loop, then a track to record on with the selected inputs you would like to use, then arm it, that should do it. :D :D

If this does not help please give more info about your setup, eg. audio device, and the info on the audio page in the preferences.

What outputs are available for you to select in the master track?
