I agree but now you have multiple installations of O's, virtual machines, etc so just put one for Music Production one for your www based system etc, i really want to see a ABLETON LIVE thin aplication that you can launch on every system ( see thin app from VMware ) that is juicy just having a hard drive with your software and project, carry nothing else and justplug.Rave wrote:That's the problem. I'd rather spend my time making music than maintaining my machine. That is why I will never go back.Maco wrote:PC Rulez once you know she can be a bitch or an angel, as long as you maintain your PC out of the www she is an angel otherwise be carefull.

I think cloud computing will be the norm in a few years.

I use Pro-Tools and Live on both platforms.
On a Mac it works great.
On a PC it works great.
I don't care if it's PC or MAC. Seriously.

Re: Are you rocking a mac or a pc?
The amount of stuff you can do on PC compared to Mac is just overwhelming. Mac comfort factor derives from the reliability that is a direct result of not supporting 80% of what PC's support. If you can work within the limitations of a Mac (e.g. just Ableton) then a Mac would be better for you. If you want to be able to run absolutely anything, get a PC but be ready to support the problems caused by the massive versatility of the machine.
