Wicked track!
Like your dirty bass line, can hear some Noisia influence in there.
Nice pad and vocals, integrated very well with the synth.

Good guess haha, Noisia is one of my influences plus some Dj Hidden and Ed Rush (all from Holland btw)
If you like the genre you should def check it out.
I'm 100% satisfied with my track but cool you liked it! Cheerz!

Cool track. Liked the wailing lady, was that a sample or did you record her directly?

Did think that it lacked something in the bass range. Do you have a sub on there? It could be the poor ear bud phones I listened to it on at work though...

Nice job, it sounds like you worked really hard on it.

Everything is pretty cool. I noticed the pads were over powering the drums, kick and bass. Or maybe it's supposed to be that way. There is a lot of low-end on those pads, bro. You could gain more headroom by rolling them off a bit. It's a bit smashed, but it doesn't cover up the weird mix. It's a great effort but the Mastering job seems a bit hot and doesn't compliment your good work. I wouldn't worry about making it so loud, I would go back and fix the mix.

Snare is a bit dull I think on this one.

Liking it. Had a chance to listen at home on my studio speakers. Still maybe not enough sub for my tastes but I have a flat response set up so...

Also, the female vocalist loop seems to be a little low in the mix. She's sitting too far back maybe? Perhaps some eq magic would help there?

Other than that, all good for me. :)

Thanks mates, which is sounding better. V1 or 2 ? The snare is a bit dull on the second, but I think V2 is more clear.

CHEEERZ. Almost weekend.

Well, I just bought some new phones - Sony MDR-V6 - and am getting used to them. So take the following comments in light of that.

Yes, I think v2 is clearer and yes the snare is a little less crisp on that version but not to the point that it detracts from it. I'd stick with v2 but I'd get some comments from ppl using different sets too. Always a good idea.

To be honest I prefer the snare from the first, make your kick and snare louder, so it smashes you in the face. You are right about the snare being dull.

Older thread, I know, but just wanted to add my kudos for an ace track (and say I prefer the snare on the first version).

Cheers

Overall it's a very good effort. Just the mix, that's all. Not all Drum and Bass needs a kick punch, but the bass should punch if anything. Like I said, you'll get more headroom for making it loud if you cut the low end out. Compare to retail.
