@beats me,
Nope, that would mean I would show up two hours early and leave in a fit if you were 5 minutes late.
Or get so sidetracked organizing my house and writing down a template for further items and their possible locations in said house that I completely forget what day we planned on meeting up on.

I dated a tweaker for the better part of 2 years. She was usually a minimum of 2 hours late. I'd sometimes give her a wide window and tell her to just arrive in the AM, but then she'd typically arrive between 2-3 PM. Not a lot of room for interpretation given my only parameter of AM. And of course I was the asshole for ever mentioning this type behavior. Sometimes she'd sit in her car outside my house for a good 45 minutes doing God knows what. My fondest memories were of her not just holding me up but an entire group of people and then wondered why all my friends hated her.

At some point in 2005 she was on her way over to "talk about our relationship". She might have been coming over to break up with me but seeing as she never made it and I never heard from her again I'm thinking we're still together. Feels good to not be one of those lonely single people. :)

The only advantage to dating tweakers is marathon kinky sex.... Damn? making it sound not so bad?
With people habitually late you just learn to tell them to show up earlier by the general amount of time they're late.
Don't give them a wider window, lie to them. Your gal at a minimum of 2 hours late? tell her to show up at least 2 1/2 hours earlier than you want her there.
Did this with a bass player who was habitually 30-50 minutes late for years. Worked well.

Amen to that. The memory of that can still make my junk stand at attention.

Believe me, I tried compensating by giving her arrival times earlier than I expected but she had the super power of knowing exactly what time would push me over the edge. If I could handle 15 minutes late she would show up 30 minutes late. If I could handle an hour late she would show up 2 hours late. 2 hours late acceptable she just might not show up at all. The only time it wasn't a point of tension was with her unannounced late night sex pop ins, or when my friends and I were drinking at home and it really didn't matter who showed up or when. But when we'd almost get into fisticuffs the bed would come into the equation and all was forgiven until the next time she showed up late, which was without fail the next time I would see her.

Anyhow, Komplete 7. Yeah. Sorry for turning this Music and Audio Production SERIOUS BUSINESS thread into a Lounge-like thread.

two things.
1: It's going to be officially announced in tomorrow's newsletter
2: It comes with all of the content from K6

Regarding my situation, they advise me to return it to the retailer (german), or cancel the order before it's shipped.
A bit of a pickle, as I bought a komplete+kore combo. Savings of 200euro. But upgrading K6 to K7 will cost 200 euro (I believe). So, one way or the other if I want K7 I think I need to cough up 200. Unless there's going to be a K7 + kore2 package...

edit: just got off the phone, they're willing to refund me if I like or hold the order until I decide what to do. They don't know if there's going to be a K7+Kore2 bundle though, the guy on the phone reckons it could be weeks until any discounted bundles are made available.

Thanks for that info dum! Good luck with whatever way you go. For my part, I am going to just relax and get into what I have for now. However, with our luck Kore 3 will probably be announced shortly! :P

Kore 3 should be in the works for sure, I'm looking forward to that.

Kore3 software upgrade wouldn't bother me, but an imminent hardware upgrade would be a bit of a kick in the gonads.

I guess it's something to think about, kore2 has been out for nearly two years...

Fuck, I knew this 'Komplete' malarchy would be less than straight forward.

Hehe I'm not ! ...well at least not right now. Like dum, I just got Kore 2 + the hardware Kontroler + Komplete 6. Unfortunately I have already unpacked it all :(

Malarchy.....you crack me up dum

I'm just hoping that we will start to see the USB 3.0 in controllers. Since USB 3 is backwards compatible just like 2 that it would not be a bad idea. I'm kinda at a halt in buying stuff until we see more 3.0. Could be wrong and this might be way of but I have a feeling it on it's way for the masses.

I was on the phone with NI today, and she had assumed I had unpacked everything as I was talking to her... that my order hadn't shipped yet just made things more convenient.

I got the distinct impression that even if I had already received it and unpacked it etc that there was still an opportunity to rectify the situation considering the timing...

So, I wouldn't let the fact you already opened it deter you from getting in touch with them about the situation if what you want is K7.

I'm starting to feel like returning/cancelling my K6+kore2 order, and simply sticking with K7 for now. After a little research, it seems the last few controllers sold by NI were made by Roland ? so speculation indicates that kore3 hardware might be roland manufactured..

Hmmm, I might just give it a go. I haven't installed or registered anything yet so if 7 is about to drop then it would only be fair to at least get a free upgrade to K7.

Well, in the back of my mind that's what I thought could happen. But there'll be no free upgrade. You return your K6/Kore2 bundle, and you get K7 instead...
