Uninstalled plug ins still showing on the list
I got lots of plug ins that I have uninstalled long ago from my system but that still show on my plug ins list. They are not present in the components or vst folders anymore. It's driving me crazy...http://forum.ableton.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=2#
Re: Uninstalled plug ins still showing on the list
Hi,
since you are mentioning the components folder I assume you are working on a Mac. AudioUnits-Plug-Ins can be located either in the local-directory (/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components) or in the user-directory (/Users/plugins/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components) of your computer. So, if you want to get rid of AudioUnits-Plug-In-devices
you have to make sure that you delete them in both possible locations. VST-Plug-Ins can be either located in the VST-Plug-In System folders (/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST or /Users/plugins/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST) or in a custom folder, so you have to check these different potential locations for the Plug-Ins you'd like to get rid of.
Best,
Philipp
