Hi All,
Two quick questions about Live.
1. Is there a way to quickly reset an automation point to zero? I tried the [del] key but that doesn't do it. I see you can create min and max values in the global tempo automation but not for, say volume levels. Sick of fighting with the mouse!
2. When I click the speaker icon to start the play head at a desired location, why does at seemingly random times a small green arrow start pointing a measure before where I clicked, then it starts playing from there? Any way to turn that "feature" off? Perhaps it's a count-off feature for recording.
Thanks!

Re: Two Quick Questions
1. I don't know if there's exactly the function you're looking for, but for tricky automations you can hold ctrl (command for macs) and drag the mouse for more accuracy. (that trick works for tweaking any parameter in ableton)
2. The reason the green arrow appears is its "cueing up" the track to continue from where you clicked. that way it will stay in beat. it'll be a seamless jump from one section of the song to another. I don't think there's a way to turn it off, but why would you?

Yeah, that's how I normally do it. I see the holding cmd also locks the Y axis, so that's nice, but it would be cool if the [del] key reset the selected automation point to zero. Can always undo. I should put it in feature suggestions.tha_metman wrote:1. What you describe doesn't bother me, in fact I like it. But in the studio sometimes after it starts playing from where I tell it to, it jumps back 4 beats or something after the green arrow blinks a few times. So, for example, the play head is at bar 24, I click on 12, it starts playing in time from 12, but then 4 beats into it, it jumps back to 8 and continues on.tha_metman wrote: 2.
