List of known issues with 8.1.4 and M4L?

Hello,
I have been a very VERY happy Live user up to about two weeks ago when I purchased Max for Live and installed the required 8.1.4 update.

Since then my confidence in the Live app has taken a few hits...

I'm getting very consistent crashes with M4L on 8.1.4 on my MacBook4,1 OSX 10.5.8. So far I have experienced crashes when going into midi-map mode after a M4L midi effect loads via template, and tonight experienced a crash when dragging an audio clip into the "Drag clipe here!" window of loop shuffler. These are the only times I have so far tried to use M4L. Both times trying to use it, crash.

Thats 0 for 2.

I have submitted bug reports each time.

Rather than keep getting surprised by these crashes, I'd like to know what I SHOULD NOT DO, so that I can avoid known bugs until they are fixed.

I am in the same boat, Live + M4L = headache

even after getting the incremental objects update the problems have not gone away.

What is going on here?

+1 to ableton/cycling to pull their finger out and sort this mess out.

Hi Christian,
Thanks for getting back. I'm not sure if you are asking about the bugs I'm reporting or the request for a list of 'known issues', which simply means a list of bugs that the developers are aware of and how they are caused (ergo avoided). Issue tracking systems like JIRA and Bugzilla (something which I'd imagine [email protected] inputs to) can output these lists.

I have been sending bug reports to bugs@ableton, I don't need immediate support. But I would like a clearer idea of what is stable (or not) and what to avoid, so it doesn't feel like I'm playing minesweeper whenever starting up M4L. I don't like surprises.
