I bought a Korg PadKontrol recently particuarly for use with the Drum Racks in Live 7.
I've tried the factory presets, the live presets, and the standard kit presets but none of them work as I expected them to.
My understanding is that when I load up a drum kit, the pads should be mapped to the pads that are currently in focus.
The closest I can get is scene 9 from the factory kit, or scene 11 from the live kit which actually are the only ones that follow the defualt view. eg. the pads from C1 at the bottom left to D#2 at the top right.
This is fine, but as soon as I change the focus, the Korg pads remain mapped to the C1 to D#2 pads.
In preferences, I have the PadKontrol input set to Port A, and I have the Track and Remote options enabled against this port.
Any one else experiencing this problem?
Thanks,
Paul

Yes, that's correct. You need to set up Live's MIDI preferences the following way:abletondummy wrote: My understanding is that when I load up a drum kit, the pads should be mapped to the pads that are currently in focus.
control surface: padKontrol
input: padKontrol Port A
output: padKontrol CTRL
input padKontrol Port A: TRACK=on / SYNC=off / REMOTE=on
On the padKontrol you need to use Scene #1. If this still won't work, you might need to restore the factory presets on the padKontrol.
