gui lag when you arm a track?
I often have a GUI lag, a really short freeze, when I arm a track. It's just an annoyance, but I'm curious if it's a live behaviour or just my computer.

I think T.A. got it^^^, but Live is set up so that the GUI is the first thing to be sacrificed when the cpu load is effected.

... but its way too much delay, even with 29% cpu load, no fluid working here. I like to resample a lot and its a bit annoying,

if it's PDC then it has nothing to do with current CPU load, and everything to do with the track count, VST/AU and routing you've got set up. I bet if you have a single audio track and you arm it, it's much quicker than if you've got 40 tracks all sidechained and grouped.

Re: gui lag when you arm a track?
still very annoying for me. I'm almost a bit afraid to record because of the micro gui freeze every time. :)I understand the problems of thread priorities and gui freeze, but I'm pretty sure there must be a way to prevent this. maybe another thread for the gui? this works much much smoother in other daws.
