I guess you mean the level of your recordings.
I wouldn´t say it "looks" wrong - if it sounds right (to you).
It´s generally better to record with a lot of headroom, cause it´s easier to increase volume afterwards than the opposite.
If you have distortions or other unwanted artefacts from overloads/peaks, it´s almost impossible to remove it.
Try to find the right recording level - if you e.g. play guitar and you have set your levels, hit the strings really hard - if the volume then goes slightly above 0 db, it´s usually fine.

i was thinking that something could be implemented like the slider on the right top corner in SAMPLER in the sample section. just to be able to see a more detailed version of the waveform WITHOUT an effect on volume... that would fit here very well i think.
