One feature lost from Live 3...

Post by Suade » Wed Apr 27, 2005 4:25 pm

Hi, Well I know it's not really a feature in itself but in earlier versions of live when I was warp marking large files I would increment the loop position using the up and down keys and use the mouse to adjust my warp markers. With version 4 whenever I touch the warp markers with the mouse I lose focus on the loop position and the up and down keys don't do their job anymore until I click the loop position bar.

It's a small thing but quite annoying and I can't see any reason for it to have changed. Please can you change it back again...

Many Thanks

Today I warped some tracks in Live 4 and thought exactly the same thing.
I was just at the jump to post the same.
Please change that back, could save a lot of mouseclicks!

Yes, you ´re right, but if you want to jump through your track (means the black loop bar) using the up and down keys, always when you select a warp marker you loose your loop bar and it becomes grey until you reclick on it. That was´nt the case in Live 3 and I don´t see any reason why they have changed that.

similar but different...

in Live 3 you could click above Track 1 in arrangement view and the little black traingular position marker would jump to the point where you clicked. That was handy. In Live 4 this area seems to be only used for click-dragging to zoom in/out. I end up clicking in the measures box and guessing what measure I want to be at. Unless I'm missing something this is definitely a good feature lost, IMHO.

In Live 3 I also had decent sized buss meters for my 16 busses out.
that could be viewed in clip view.

Now I have to look at tiny meters in Arr view.

please bring back the big buss out meters
