Hi,
Im having a bit of a headache with my midi keyboard and ableton and rotary knobs. Im using an axiom 49 1st gen, and I use the keyboard to control a midi instrument within ableton - that parts totally fine. Is there a way to sort of dump the CURRENT knob values from the vst TO the midi keyboard? As it stands, to use the rotary knobs or sliders, I have to physically move them from up or down on the keyboard until hitting the value set in the vst, so that ableton can pick up the new midi values sent from the keyboard. I can understand this has to be the case for the sliders, as they have only a maximum and min position, but rotary knobs are just.. er... rotary. Surely they could just be sent the current values and I could work straight away? I dont know if this is a general keyboard issue or just the axiom. Basically, the reason I dont want to physically scan up and down is to not wreck the initial settings just before a performance. And I want to quickly change between one live set and another between songs without having to set the keyboard up all over again. Any suggestions?

Wait! Value scaling might be it... Guess its alright now!
