I'm building a virtual drumkat that can be triggered from any drum pad set up for playing chords and alternating notes (like bass lines or whatever). It's actually VERY cool
Anyone know a way to RESET the Random or Scale MIDI plug in?
Anyone know a way to RESET the Random or Scale MIDI plug in?
I'm using the Random plug in with the ALT setting and 100% chance setting followed by the Scale plug in. This allows me to have a single note triggered on a keyboard step through a series of notes and loop back to the first one and so on. I'm hoping to find a way to send a MIDI command to get it to go straight back to the first note in the scale on the Scale plug in (command to start the series of notes over again even if I'm in the middle of the sequence of notes). If I activate and deactivate the random or scale plug in, it just continues where it left off. Is this making any sense? Any ideas out there?

I just would like to add the "home" feature in the Kat where you can make a pad that is set to ALTERNATE MODE go back to the first in the series when you hit a pad or send a command.

Re: Anyone know a way to RESET the Random or Scale MIDI plug in?
tapping any other note in the scale will reset it.
so if you're triggering all the steps from C1, hit any other note to reset. obviously if that note is within the sequence, it will be heard, but if it falls outside the sequence's range, its a silent retrigger.

GARYBOOZY, that's an excellent workaround for me! I've set alternate clip to trigger at midi note G8 with a velocity of one and a veeery short gate time so there's no long, loud reset note. Thank you so much! Actually, thank you so much that if you'd like a copy of my virtual drumkat session when it's done, I'll send it to you. Maybe you'll find it useful?garyboozy wrote:tapping any other note in the scale will reset it.
