The big noticeable difference for me is the huge amounts of time saved by not having to do "fresh installs" of an operating system and then all the software.

... you can reduce this time to virtually zero (i.e. ~5 minutes) by making a disk-image once you have set up your system properly. (And of cause by keeping system and data on separate disk-partitions)

get someone else to moderate the forum or ban me, if you have a problem with my way of dealing with him. those are the only two options.

I'm sad to hear such things and i think i'm by far not the only one in this community to see it that way.

the real expert has spoken to sell more ableton licenses to both camps. wow.

i love the strong personal opinion not based on who is paying his bills.

not very agressiv in my understanding...

however i dont understand the animosity because dennis is much more polite and relativistic than his forrunner that thanks to the laws of the peter principle has been promoted out of public affairs...
It was allways like that that ableton emploes stated perfection, stability and pristine audio and midi performance of theire product.. thats nothing new..and pretty understandable.. just dont ask them... ask the other users !
Thats what the forum is good for.. same with apples forums..want to learn about potential problems of an actual modell.. join the diss-cushion

Thanks Dennis and Dom for your efforts to keep the forum a great resource for all of us, I think you represent Ableton well, your patience and efforts don't go unnoticed. There is so much great information within the forum, we all get carried away and hijack threads from time to time but it is great to see that respect is the rule here. Peace.
