just tested in 8.1.5 and hitting an arrow key still makes live go *poof* and disappear.
been sending in bug reports since 8.1.3b4 and would love to see this fixed.

Works fine here. I am on a WinXPPro (SP2) system running 8.1.5.

Thanks for posting this! I love Z3ta and was doing a project and this exact crash happened (bug report sent to ableton). This hapened on live 8.1.5. Live went "poof" indeed.
I have windows xp SP2. Profire 2626, oxygen49 and padkontrol.

wonder if it's a sp2/sp3 thing?
fyi support has definitely confirmed/can reproduce the crash, so hopefully just a matter of time
