Is there a way to be in record mode and not record automation of faders, mutes, etc. I'm adjusting things when the band is recording; when I've stopped recording the tracks I have to go to near the end of the recording ( not after the recording on the time line but after the less fader etc. has been moved). I then have to delete controller automation or highlight and delete automation of the controller. In other words I'm adjusting things so the last adjustment is what I want; yet I have to delete all the changes I made that were recording while I got to what I wanted. Best to not be recording automation at all while I'm making the normal ITB mix settings.
I would like fader, controls automation to be able to be turned off separately from track recording. Common in other programs
Does anyone know the best way for me to make a key command to go to the end of the last recorded file and append or play from there. I know if I don't use markers i can use the next marker to go to the end. I'd like a dedicated key command to go to the end of the last recorded so I can instantly record another take from there in arrangement view. Like launch a scene and overdub without having to move the cursor with the mouse. Go to end and append common in other programs such as ProTools.
