First Trance tune

Post by DaxPG » Thu Aug 12, 2010 8:23 pm

Hey people,

From the moment i started with music making in Ableton, I really wanted to make an epic trance song. I'm from Holland, so Tiesto is a bigshot here. I started doing these tutorial sessions and here it is. It is definatly not finished because when i started listening to it as a wav. I found the lead needed to be a bit louder and the drums a little less. So remastering galore.

But since i'm really happy with it I'm proud to present my first, not so epic, maybe pretty standard Trance tune.!

I like it!

As someone who is sort of lukewarm to trance, I thought it was a good specimen of the breed. It's full without being too busy, and keeps a good amount of energy throughout.

If I had one criticism, it's that the parts are all fairly similar to each other. Taking it somewhere else would have given the listener a little more variety.

It's a good track overall though - nicely done :D

Thanks. I'm thinking of re-recording it seeing as some of the parts are in fact very long and they get a little dull.

Thanks for listening!

Nice track man, The intro sounds very nice and the solidness continues for the whole track, love the classic strings in the breakdown, maybe a little bit more automation on the main lead during the breakdown to give it a bigger buildup (i.e release, cutoff etc. etc.)and some more effects on the main lead after it has kicked in would make this track great, apart from that its very solid, good job

Thanks guys,

As we speak i'm actually working on a rerecording of the song. get the bass a little louder and make the stabs less apparant.
