Hey guys, this is a pretty simple question...
I'm using a PCR-800 and trying to assign one of the pads to toggle a delay on/off using the Device Activator, but instead of pressing it once to turn it on/off, I have to hold the pad down to keep it on, and release it to turn it off. I assigned it using the Midi Map mode.
How can I solve this?
Thanks!
Jesse
How to toggle device on/off with midi?
Re: How to toggle device on/off with midi?
hi
i ve never used a pcr-800 but you should be able to go into the midi controllers settings and choose from between various settings such as toggle, momentary, step or something similar
if you have done this and had no luck then try the following
- enter into midi map mode in ableton
- click onto the delay on/off button
- press the pad your midi controller to assign it to the on/off on the delay
- when you have done this you should notice a small rectangular box in the bottom left of abes display which will have a drop down menu with options such as "absolute", "relative bit signed" etc -
- if it is on absolute, then try switching to relative bit signed and see if that works

Re: How to toggle device on/off with midi?
hey, in the edit menu of the keyboard you have to set the button as " b 2 " (is the second-last parameter), ie to toggle mode, with a range of 127max-0min. This way when you map it it should toggle every button on/off and give the right light feedback. Not remember if it was 127min-0max maybe...well, try them both
hope it helps, cheers
