Can't find W1 Limiter in plug-in folder
Can't find W1 Limiter in plug-in folder
George Yohng's W1 limiter is not showing up in my VST or AU folder in Live. I have checked the ableton faq and made sure it's in the right directory and have rescan for plug-ins and it still is not showing up? I have tried to use both AU and VST version. Please Help!
Re: Can't find W1 Limiter in plug-in folder
Hello,
I just checked this plugin on Live 8.1.1 and OS X 10.6.2. and it´s all fine.
Can you post some details about your setup?
Best,
Christian

Re: Can't find W1 Limiter in plug-in folder
Sometimes a plugin can get "lost" to the operating system. I don't know why, it happened to me with a newly installed AU plugin last night. The plugs were there, but didn't show up in any of my audio apps.
Try this: temporarily move the W1 components outside of their respective "Components" and "VST" folders, re-start your Mac, move them back, then re-start again.

Re: Can't find W1 Limiter in plug-in folder
Thanks for the advice, I tried moving the plugin files and restarting then moving them back and restarting but they still don't show up. Here's some info on my setup: Macbook Pro OSX Version 10.5.8, Ableton Live 8.1.1, Digidesign Mbox2, APC40, Pioneer DJM-600, 2 Technics 1200's, Serato Scratch Live. (Can't wait for the Bridge to be released BTW) Anyways, I'm also having a problem connecting my interface. When I open the preferences>audio>audio input device tab, and select my Digidesign Mbox2, It freezes everthing in live and my cursor turns to the wait icon, and nothing in live will work. If I unplug the interface, Live crashes completely. I have checked for driver updates for the Mbox2, and everthing is up to date. The output works fine. I can send audio out of Live, just not in. What can I do?
