You can mention anything Jamaican, you wont get sidelined.

Not a DJ just a reggae musician from off of the rock.

I DJ vintage Reggae, Rocksteady, & Dub from the Golden Age (late 60's through the early 80's). I am a Lee Perry, Black Ark studio, & Upsetters fanatic. Also love Studio One, Channel One, et al.

I actually held all those discs in my hand, great stuff..only one problem if they are in order of importance, then "Breaking Up" (by Alton Ellis) should be the first in the batch. :)
If you were able to visit my MySpace you will see that.... quote " I made up my mind a long time ago that Breaking Up is the greatest Rock Steady tune ever made" of course I went on to say that almost any tune from that period could take the title.

Strictly vintage stylee...

Software versions:

GSi - GS-201 Space Echo (emulation of a Roland Space Echo)
http://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=26

GSi - Spring Reverb Type4
http://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=28

Audio Damage - Phase Two (emulation of a Mutron Bi-Phase)
http://www.audiodamage.com/effects/prod ... ?pid=AD008

I also have been tinkering on step filters/EQs, & will start hunting some plugins down.

Hardware versions:
NOTE: generic photos found on web. I own these (hallelujah!), but haven't taken any photos. I still have to get a real Roland Space Echo...

Just some photo collages I found online. I do have a good amount of vintage 45s though, many on the same labels - love them forever!

Apologies my friend, but I don't have any sets that utilize effects recorded for posterity. I do have some un-effected sets recorded years ago at the club on SVHS that I'd like to digitize, but that's a low priority right now because I have a ton of 8-Track & stereo cassettes to digitize first.

I'll look through some of my Ableton Live Reggae DJ sessions to see if any have effects, but I don't think any of them have any automation saved...
