Hi- I'm sure this isn't that difficult. I'm a pretty advanced user but I can't seem to get Fruityloops 5 working with Live (just to use it's synths).
I have record enabled a midi channel with output to FL Studio and a certain Patch. I have this channel Monitor ON and am seeing the Red from my MIDI keyboard.
I have also taken an Audio channel with Audio from FL Studio (tried all the outputs).
Do I need to use the VSTi instrument FL (it crashes very easily)?
Any advice?
Thanks.
using FW410 as midi input (never had a problem with anything)
Problem: Can't Get Fruityloops synths rewired to Live workin
Here's what I did, this works:
Start Live, then FLStudio.
In FLStudio, pick one of the instruments in a track and use it's on screen kybd to ensure it's working. Not arping, either-- "mouse press" a key and hear sound.
Hit the X on FL rewired and flip to Live.
Midi track, input is computer keyboard, Midi Out to the FL synth you tried. Monitor ON.
Audio track, input is FLStudio FL 1/2, Monitor is ON.
Press "k" on your keyboard, you should hear something through the device associated with your audio out prefs.
Then, switch your MIDI in from computer keyboard to your FW iface, play the keyboard or whatver, should work.
Now, it is a different story if you try to arp, so don't do that..
(edit) also this all assumes that FLStudio is using rewire audio output mode (defaults to this when started as a rewire slave) and that it's not a somehow limited version that doesn't allow real rewire stuff to happen.
