Odd MIDI problem

Hello all, ran into this problem last night, tried searching the 'net for help to no avail..

I am running Vista 32bit SP1.. Haven't had a problem like this yet..

I have multiple controllers running in Ableton 7.018 with Reason 4.01 rewired. My template works fine, I've been using it for a few months with no changes..

Here's the problem.

My two main MIDI controllers, oxygen8 (USB) and MPD24 (MIDI through my Fast Track Ultra) are both unresponsive when I press a key/pad, (the receiving light in the top right corner lights up when I play a key, there's just no sound..) This goes for any LIVE or Reason instrument and third party plug. Even when I have the Computer MIDI Keyboard option on, I can't play anything..

If I choose to 'edit MIDI map' I can assign things like Pan, Output Level, or Track On/Off to the knobs and/or sliders of both my controllers.. The only thing I can't do is play an instrument. Occasionally if I am mashing keys, one note will get picked up, and sustain until I hit Live's Stop button in the transport control. But that gets more rare as time goes on..

This all came about yesterday afternoon. I was working on a project with Reason rewired and NI Massive. I had laid down a loop in Massive, and then everything just became unresponsive. Since then I have had nothing.

I have tried Reinstalling drivers, as well as just upgraded from 7.07.. Using Reason 4.01 and Massive in Standalone, I can use the controllers just fine..

EDIT: One other thing I noticed yesterday, when I managed to record a note triggered by my MPD was that the pad triggered two samples, the intended one, which was channel 1 Kick in my Rewired Redrum, and ALSO a channel Mute.. Both of the midi notes that got recorded were the same duration of the length of time I was recording, rather than just the moment that I hit the pad...
