When i browse presets in my vst´s and press space to stop the sequence Ableton stops. Then when i press space again to start the sequence over the first preset in the vst bank automatically starts.
Have tried different vst´s but still it jumps back to the first preset so it can´t be a vst problem
Any ideas how to fix this?

Re: Ableton is reseting my vst´s
"The sequence" may be the crucial point, especially if it's imported General MIDI clips. Those are bound to contain program change commands. Look at the notes frames of your midi clips - do they contain numbers in the Bank, Sub-Bank and/or Program fields.Tobias J wrote:to start the sequence over the first preset in the vst bank automatically starts.
You can ctrl-click a number of clips and set them all to Program=None or individually set them to the desired patch numbers.
Beware that clips already recorded into arrangement view are independent from their sources in session view.

Yes.
I once had that problem too and it was because the midi clips (imported from a general midi file) had program change information in them. I had to edit them to say Bank:None, Sub:Bank None and Program:None.
