Sending midi note off messages in live, NOT note on vel 0?

Hey All,

Here's my issue. I have an SCI Prophet 600, one of the original midi enabled synths. The problem is this synth is without velocity, so when ableton sends a midi note on vel 0 signal to signify the end of a note, it triggers the synth again. How can I get Ableton or a third party plug to send a true note off message instead of note on 0 vel? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Perhaps you could use Bome's or MIDI-OX (on Windows) to make a virtual MIDI port, and transform all Vel 0 notes to Note Off messages.... I think that'd work, although I've never tried it.
