Cusomizable Text Marker in a clip? Split + follow actions?

Basically I want to be able to jot down little notes in a clip like I can in the timeline by adding a locator and giving it a name. Obviously this functionality isn't in Ableton (or is it?! lemme know.) so what would be the next best thing? Basically I need to make notes in the songs that I DJ with - so I know when certain elements of the song have dropped or come in.

I was thinking about splitting the songs up into separate clips and tying them together with follow actions, but I then thought that if you use a follow action, and don't start the clip from the beginning, it would not bring in the next one at the right time. Maybe this is incorrect? I haven't had time to test yet...

It is. Right-click on a clip and select "Edit Info Text." Voilà.

Ideally I'd be able to see it on the bar/beat markers at the top, but I could just as easily type in the bar# and keep track of it that way.

Any other suggestions? Til then I'll just use the info text area.
