few installation questions

I recently bought live 8 and the suite 8 upgrade, both boxed versions. I also just bought a Mac that arrived yesterday. I installed Ableton on my windows laptop while I was waiting on the Mac to get here. I just got a trial serial to use on the laptop. I know in the book it said it could be used on two machines and they would give you another serial but I just wanted to use the first serial on my main machine when it got here.

Ok, so far I've been installing live on the new Mac. Here's what I've done so far...

* installed live 8.0.1 from disc
* updated to live 8.1.5 from internet
* started installing suite add-ons from disc

I have 2 questions so far. (1) As of right now, both versions of Live are in my applications folder. Do I still need the 8.0.1 installation? Are previous versions kept for the added installed content? Since I'm installing all new content to the 8.1.5 version do I need to keep the old one? It looks like it's just taking up 700MB of hard disk space. While the updated version is much larger from the added content. (2) Also, I'm installing the suite package now and I'm on the Session Drums disc. On that disc there are two folders, the Stereo Packages (8gb) and the LE Stereo Packages (2gb). Should I install both of them? It looks like that's just a light version of the other one. So is this based solely on hard disk space? Or will I ever need both while in the program? I'm sorry to ask such silly questions but I'm an Ableton newbie (and Mac newbie for that matter) and don't know how easy or hard these add-ons are to remove from live later if I want.

/ No, you can safely remove it.

/ It depends, it´s indeed a light version. This proves handy sometimes.

Thanks for the getting back to me so fast! I have everything installed but for some reason the website says it can't process my Suite 8 serial online. I've already sent an e-mail off to [email protected]. I'm still awaiting reply. But any reason you can think of why this might happen?
