Contact tech support; I had a very good experience working out my problem directly with tech support. (Also, Ableton does not respond directly to bug reports unless they need clarification of some sort.)

^ you should be able to uninstall.
8.1.5 shares the changes to the library that were implemented in 8.1.3 but the program itself is not dependent upon the previous versions.
Just be careful that you don't jump the gun. It could be that 8.1.5 has a bug (for you) thats a show stopper and at that point you would need to go back to 8.1.3

Me, personally, I wait for a couple of revs before I uninstall the previous. YRMV

I've found that when midi mapping I can only midi map one thing at a time. I need to turn midi mapping off/on to map something else.

I had my first ever Freeze, and it was on stage at Jersey Live!

Luckily it was whilst I was setting up. I had a drum track playing for the sound guy to get a level and it froze completely so I restarted the computer to be safe.

The only thing I did different that I can think of was plug in a USB qwerty keyboard whilst live was running.

plugging in a USB device whilst Live is running has caused issues for me too.. my foot pedal has been kicked loose a couple of times and plugging it back in causes a hung app.
