Hi,
I apologize if this has been discussed- I searched before asking (:
I have looper on several tracks so that when I dj, I can use it regardless of which tracks I am on. I am wondering if I can program the Apc40 with the play, stop and record buttons to control looper on whichever track I am viewing. Right now, I have midi programmed but it only controls the one looper device, not any of them depending on which one is selected. Then when I midi program all of the instances of looper, it controls all of them, not just the one I have selected.
Question make sense? I don't see why this isn't working and am hoping there is a way to do this.
Thanks for the help!!
Looper on several tracks controlled with APC40
Re: Looper on several tracks controlled with APC40
The only way I can think of to workaround this is to use the device on/off button. Is that the best way?

That could work.. I have noticed that switching an effect on and off while audio is flowing through can make a click sound on the audio.. Otherwise you have to map different buttons on the APC to each looper.wobbleLF wrote:The only way I can think of to workaround this is to use the device on/off button. Is that the best way?

If you need more buttons to control your devices (from the apc):

APS40_22 revision 3a
--------------------
This set of Python scripts adds APC20/Launchpad-style User Mode/Note Mode functionality to the APC40, with additional shifted control mappings. Compatible with Live 8.1 & higher, on PC or mac.
To use, drop the APC40_22 folder into Ableton's MIDI Remote Scripts directory, and select APC40_22 from the MIDI Preferences dialog. Switch Track Input to "On" for Note Mode, and switch Remote to "On" for User Modes. Consider switching Takeover Mode to "Value Scaling" when using sliders or encoders in User mode.
