Very new to all this so you'll have to forgive me if the question is a bit simple. I'm trying to achieve the effect that CJ Bolland uses in his song Zenith at the 3:00 mark:

Is there any simple way to do this as in a plug in??
Thanks.
How can I achieve this sound........
Re: How can I achieve this sound........
It sounds as if he's gating the choir, and it seems he's using multiple choir samples to add a bit of diversity.
You could achieve a similar effect if you load in a Utility plugin and modulate the gain envelope to duck down every other note or something, depending on what you want to achieve. You may also get some interesting effects if you layer a simple or grain delay with a bit of reverb.
Live does have a gate plugin, but I tend to just do it manually because you can do a lot more if you mess around with the envelope anchors. It just may be a little more time consuming.
At least, I think this is what you want to do?
Hope this helps in SOME WAY.

Its a simple Trance Gate effect. you can do it with AutoPan - set to beats, shape 100%, Phase set to 0.
