Support for Contour Shuttle Pro

Post by Novacosmic » Sat Feb 15, 2003 6:28 am

i have one for Final Cut Pro editing. It gives me 13 programmable buttons, and a great jog wheel.

yea i have this bad boy too.. but the only thing that contouravs or ableton can do by "supporting it" is impliment some type of use for the jog/shuttle wheel- outside of this you can already tweak it to have the buttons do what ever you would like them to do.

I guess if you did want ableton to do anything that would aid in the matter, they would have to allow a keycomand for conroling the spl.

shuttle pro

Is the contour piece easy to program ala key commands
anyone have experience with getting rid of the computer keyboard with the cotour pro..
in theory sounds great..my concern is usb drivers and the like..
anyone using the contour pro usb with usb mouse and usb midi interface on pc or mac..my main concern with audio programs is installing too many like drivers and ending up with a confused system looking for drivers that are not stable..
any thoughts people..
best regards

I've got one I use with Final Cut Pro ... works okay with Ableton, you've still got the buttons you can set... but the shuttle wheel is the nicest part, and that doesn't work with Live (as far as I know)

Yes to this! Live neeeds key commands for everything so we can link the shuttle pro to whatever we want. I have the internal wheel set to control the zoom level, but it's not ideal.

exactly, the minimum that ableton has to do is implement key-shortcuts to scrolling/panning left and right, so you can assign the jogwheel to these keys..
