Zelda Music (Video Game / Ambient / Orchestral stuff)

Update - Direct Link to Soundcloud Set: http://soundcloud.com/silwolffe/sets/th ... -fan-music

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, so I'm quite a massive nerd and have enjoyed playing Zelda ever since the NES days, and being a music geek it just made sense for me to compose some of my favorite songs from the games (starting out with Ocarina of Time).

So, that's what I've been doing the past year or so in my free time - which has been very limited, at best. I'm working on the fire temple (bolero of fire and the dungeon) and the forest temple in conjunction with eachother right now, and will probably post them up sometime within the next few days or so.

I re-composed Zelda's Lullaby and slapped it over the one that I originally composed, which was uploaded about a year ago.

I'm not too happy on certain aspects, and I think the mastering could have been a bit better, specially with the final flute phrase. I believe it's too high in the upper frequencies, and it almost gives off a screaming, high-pitch ring that makes your ears want to bleed or your brain explode. Oops.

Anyway, here's the link to my soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/silwolffe/zeldas-lullaby

Take a listen, let me know if you feel so inclined with how much suck I am at both composing and mastering, and I'll go about trying to fix it.

Thanks!

Update with a new version of the Fire Temple in Ocarina of Time.

Decided it would be a good thing to test out some percussive and drum sounds, which worked pretty well (I think).

Here's the link to it: http://soundcloud.com/silwolffe/zelda-fire-templewip

Don't let the introduction trick you - it's a really eerie, thumpin' tune.

I'm glad you two enjoyed the tracks. I've had quite a bit of free time earlier in the day and managed to finish another ocarina of time tribute.

Here's a link to the Water Temple: http://soundcloud.com/silwolffe/zelda-o ... ter-temple

If you notice the Omnisphere patch that I threw in there, you're welcome to bludgeon my talentless body. I'm not too happy with the flute, but I'll fix it later.

Thanks for all the listens.

My godmother and I played that game together when I was a kid. It has timeless music. I listened to your track and liked it, as well. I'll get to re-mastering a great, original score of my own titled "World as Your Oyster" tonight and send you a link to it on SoundCloud.

Peace!
