^ Nice setup. And you've got the G1 editor running on osx.
Gotta ask though, how do you work with your monitors down that low?

I don't like the monitors being that low, either.
But it's actually not that easy to find affordable stands that still fit under the narrow roof.
I just recently discovered a model that gets the job done and I'm planning to get a pair as soon as I have some money left.
The G1 editor is actually the original version.
There is a beta that works on OSX.
It crashes from time to time and you should never use the right mouse button.
Besides that it's alright. I'd love to use Nomad but I could never make it work.
It doesn't recognize my midi interface. I tried everything but wasn't successful.
If anybody knows hat to make Nomad work on Snow Leopard, please tell me.
Peace

I could see it was nord's G1 editor. I can't help with nomad I'm afraid, I'm on win 7 and never got it to work either!
Re: Monitors: Why not put them on your desk (in portrait) with some mopads to isolate and angle them up a little? Not ideal, but it's gotta be better than what you're working with now.

I had the speakers on the desk before. Even though it was a better solution than this one, I couldn't stand the look of it
But as I said: There will be some decent stands in the next couple of weeks.

This one:

It's a bit shakey, though.
I wouldn't put it on a table on which you are using drumpads or anything you want to bang harder than your average keyboard.

I modified that thing with an extra DVD case I had layin around, cut it down a bit and taped it to the bottom plastic base so that it would act as support since there is no support in the front - works perfect for an APC40 - I tip it outwards for better ergonomics..boboter wrote:This one:

as for the speaker placement, I would just tell people that you like to lean like a cholo when you're listening to ur mix

Can't believe I waited this long to get an APC40 though. Got my first set in front of real people (as opposed to friends etc) in a few weeks time!
