ok so it works now...

the only thing is when you adjust tempo it finds it hard to stay in sync...

also... if you stop ableton and start it again it doesnt re-start the kaoss sync in time... it just stays running at the previous tempo...

can ableton send a 'start' trigger/message to line the kaoss pad back up in time with ableton when you hit play?

ok so this is working now

MASSIVE BUT!!

when i move abletons tempo the kp3 does respond but very late and goes out of time...

also when i stop ableton and hit play again the kaoss doesnt realign itself, it just continues where it left off... any ideas on whether its possible to use midi to re-align?

thanks!

korg told me:

“If you want to synchronize sequenced data and the KP3's internal rhythm patterns, you will either have to insert a Touch Pad On message into the beginning of each measure of your sequence data, or touch the touch pad at the beginning of each KP3 phrase to start the pattern.”

can anyone decode this for me? im a bit lost by the language and i wouldnt know how to send which midi message to specific bits of connected gear.

thanks!

they saying that if you want to sync with internal drum patterns you can do it manualy (by touching pad) or send cc that simulates it (as i see in kp3 editor that is cc 92).
