That´s my choice. I bought in a No-Brainer deal from a well known shop.

I haven't tried them but Audio Damage have 2, one is called Liquid and it says it's an "analog modeled, thick" chorus. The other one, Vapor is interesting because it's supposed to add "shimmer", says is a "new-style diffusion chorus" whatever that means.

I've always wanted a chorus that's barely there, just adding a sheen, but I've never really found one I like. Usually just use delay and offset the right/left delay times slightly. If anyone finds a great chorus let us know :)

The best ever is UAD Dimension D (assuming you can't get the real hardware unit)

The next 2 best IMHO are

1) D16 Syntorus - http://www.d16.pl/index.php?menu=223
2) Audio Damage Fluid - http://www.audiodamage.com/effects/prod ... ?pid=AD016 Vapour on the other hand doesn't do a lot for me, Fluid is really thick like a Boss CE-1 old analogue pedal, Vapour is a little too subtle for me (on guitar esp, not bad on vocals - I demoed it but did not buy it, I demoed Fluid and almost jizzed in my pants when I put it on guitar, so bought it).
On guitar I love Fluid, Syntorus though has the widest range of sounds and is particularly good on synth pads, synths, bass, vocals etc and is pretty damned amazing.

Both of them KILL the stock Live Chorus plugin - but remember, you can rack the Live FX and then they can sound a lot fuller and juicier.

Cubase's stock chorus and especially the cloner plug in are both really good too. Modulation FX (chorus, phase, flange) if used in a single instance in Live (no racking) are quite disappointing in comparison.

No disrespect the plugin might be fantastic, but Computer Music would rate one of my turds with a minimum of 8/10.

How many CM review have you seen which rate a product less than 7 ? I've seen 1 in about 25 issues I've read (which I only usually read in dentists or doctors offices, as I find it entertaining in a simple way, but have little respect for much of their reviews or opinions).

CM rate almost EVERYTHING 8 or 9 out of 10.

Any old-school chorus fanatics out there who can recommend a really vintage early 80's Goth guitar effect like this Virgin Prunes sound?

Or as used by Cocteau Twins?

Or Sisters of Mercy?

Audio Damge Fluid IS the Cocteau Twins sound, a Boss CE-1 Analogue chorus type sound. Listen to the audio examples. Or Guthrie's production on Lush's debut album 'Spooky'. Or get the UAD card and Dimension D and Boss CE-1 plugins, along with the EMT Plate 140.

Syntorus is the best jack of all trades chorus still, but Fluid on guitars rulez dudez.

Add another supporter for the Roland Dimension D on UAD.

Unbelievable how authentic this chorus sound is. Really. You do need the UAD hardware to run it, but thats a worthy investment anyway and, if you really want "killer," you need to seriously consider this alternative. I don't even think about using other chorus plugs now that I have this.

regarding Audiodamage Liquid, Fluid, Vapor, and Phase Two, you may have to read this recent post ("the next product" part) :) :
http://www.analogindustries.com/blog/en ... 3209069593

edit : actually they decided not to to combine these 4 plug-ins into one multi-effect (see in the comments)
