very long start up time live 4

I run live 4.1.2 on a G5 2x2 2 gig ram 160 gb hd plus 250 gb hd.
I always had a very long start up time with live 4. i made the conclusion this had to do with the amount of files on my hd s ....But actually i remeber i had faster start up times with live 3....What could be the reason ...? Sometimes it almost takes 5 minuites for live to start up.

if you have lots of plugins, that may be the reason for the long startup time.
try to temporarily rename your vst plugins folder, so that Live won't scan them at startup, see if there is any improvement.

one reason why it can take long for Live to start up is: If you closed Live when there was a folder open with + - 1000 samples. It might take Live a while next time you start up.
