I just bought a M-Audio Firewire 410. When using, on MAC OS.X, Ableton Live 4 Lite (that was bundled with the M-Audio package) I absolutely cannot access to the 4 stereo output pairs of the M-Audio.
The Output settings reads something like "Firewire 410 (2 inputs / 2outputs)" and the outputs selection only features "1" "2 "1/2", no appearance of the other outputs....
Firewire 410 control panel shows 4 active stereo pairs though.. This is driving me crazy... Any clue?
Only 1 output available on my M-Audio Firewire 410! Help!

Update your version of OSX perhaps...
Otherwise, you need to uninstall the drivers, restart, double check to make sure EVERYTHING related to m-audio is off your system (do a search for "firewire). If that is so, download the latest drivers, and restart. If that still doesn't work, make sure your soundcard settings in Live are right.
I've had the 410 before, and now I have the 1814. Every so often for some reason, the drivers will shit out on me. The solution I have written above works every time. It will be nice when Alesis releases that 16 channel firewire interface/mixer. Then I can sell this retarded 1814.

I'm thinking that's a limitation of Live 4 Lite, especially if the FW410 is showing up as having 4 stereo pairs in it's control panel.dju wrote:I just bought a M-Audio Firewire 410.
