Went into my work (a warehouse) and recorded sum drums using an maudio firewire 410. It worked smoothly until we were playing sum of the tracks back and after using the compressor effect live froze and so did the audio. I had to reboot. Everything worked fine after that.
then today i was just playing around with some ideas and then it did the same thing again - but i wasn't using the compressor. Just rebooted. everything fine.
I have tiger installed, the latest live version and the latest driver for the firewire 410.
I never had any problems with my ibook. It so damn frustrating - you spend all this money and its not even reliable. Any ideas anyone??? i don't feel i can trust my machine
i 've heard things about maudio products though......
