I've requested some more unlocks so I can try it.
Out of interest, has anyone else with this problem reported it to support, they claim that they are unaware of an issue and that they can not reproduce it.

i've just seen it posted about numerous times on the forum (enough to know that usually the compatibility mode trick works). i'd be surprised if someone over there or the staff that use the forums haven't seen it mentioned.

pretty sure it just has to do with some drivers being flakey on Win7

I personally haven't contacted support as the 2nd post in this thread was by an Abletonian...
Anyway, BIG thanks in advance cotdagoo, should the comp.-mode work! :D

They might take a bit more notice if enough people tell them about it. I suppose you're going to wait for me to tell you if the compatibility mode thing works as well?

^ Well c'mon, your happy to complain on the forum, but you can't even bother to email support to report the issue.
How the f*ck are they supoosed to fix anything if people don't tell them about it?

This is the support forum.
I got an answer from an Ableton employee.
How about minding your own business?

Housemusiclover, I apologise, the tone of my last two posts was completely unnecessary.

However, Ableton usually don't follow up bug reports in the support forum, users need to email [email protected] to report issues of this type. I know Ableton employees sometimes respond to queries in the forum, but that is usually just to provide quick troubleshooting hints and tips.

If you're still experiencing this problem, I would politely urge you to report it to [email protected], if more users do so Ableton are more likely to take the issue seriously.

No problem, i know the "official" way is to email support but i thought that IF an Ableton employee takes part in one of these threads he'd keep track of the issue.
I also didn't want to contact support directly because officially Windows 7 isn't supported!
Anyway, back to bed, got a nasty cold...

Thanks for being understanding. They won't track the issue in the forum, they don't have the manpower apparently.
Win 7 isn't officially supported, but plenty of users are running it and they won't refuse to help just because you are. By reporting problems like this properly, by email, you stand more chance of the issue being looked at.

There's lots of Ableton bashing on the forum at the moment, I've expressed my frustration more than once, but unless the users tell them what's wrong, they can't fix it.

Anyway, I hope you feel better soon.
